Suggested Moments
Dark Moon, Evening, Before Bed
A gentle lunar blend of chamomile, lemon balm, and lavender created to accompany the Dark Moon, inviting deep rest, release, and the wisdom found in stillness.
There is a moment each lunar month when the sky grows quiet.
The moon disappears from view, and for a brief time the night feels darker than usual. Nature offers no urgency during this phase. There is nothing to bloom, nothing to harvest, nothing to celebrate.
Only rest.
Dark Moon Tea was created for this forgotten part of the cycle.
Chamomile brings gentle comfort, lemon balm softens the edges of a busy mind, and lavender encourages the body to settle into stillness. Together they create a cup that asks nothing of you except your presence.
This is not a tea for planning.
It is not a tea for becoming.
It is a tea for simply being.
For one cup:
1 teaspoon dried chamomile flowers
1 teaspoon dried lemon balm
½ teaspoon dried lavender buds
1 cup freshly boiled water
Optional:
Honey
Preparation
Combine the herbs in a tea infuser, teapot, or heatproof mug.
Pour freshly boiled water over the herbs.
Cover while steeping for five to seven minutes.
Strain before drinking.
Prepare this tea as the moon disappears from the night sky, or any time you feel the need to step away from constant doing and simply rest.
A Gentle Companion To...

Dark Moon Tea pairs beautifully with evenings of intentional quiet.
Leave the journal closed if you wish.
Turn off the music.
Dim the lights.
Watch the night settle outside your window.
Allow yourself to end the day without trying to improve it.
Sometimes the greatest act of care is giving yourself permission to stop.
Notes
Using What You Have
This blend is intentionally simple. Resist the temptation to add stimulating herbs or stronger flavours. The beauty of Dark Moon Tea lies in its gentleness.
A Gentle Reminder
Many people choose to prepare this tea only once each lunar month, allowing it to become a quiet marker of the Dark Moon. Others return to it whenever life feels especially full or rest has become difficult to find.
Carry This Forward

The world often celebrates beginnings.
Nature teaches us to honour endings, too.
Seeds rest beneath frozen ground before they grow.
Trees release their leaves before they bloom again.
The moon disappears before returning to the sky.
You do not have to be productive every day to be growing.
Sometimes your deepest work is happening in the quiet places no one else can see.
