Current Sky

Your guide to the current moon phase, seasonal cycles, and what's unfolding in the sky.

A Focus on the Current Cycle

Understanding the sky is only the beginning.

Learning to live in rhythm with it is where transformation begins.

The Current Moon Phase

Each phase carries its own rhythm.

Here's how to work with the one you're in.

Waxing Moon

Give Connection Something to Stand On

The Libra New Moon invited us to reconsider how we make room for one another. Perhaps we recognized a relationship that needs more honesty, an agreement that deserves revisiting, or a familiar habit of accommodating others before considering ourselves. These realizations can feel meaningful in the quiet of a New Moon, but the waxing phase asks what happens when we return to ordinary life.

Connection is shaped by what we repeatedly do. It's found in the conversations we make time for, the responsibilities we share, the boundaries we respect, and the small ways we show another person that their needs matter alongside our own. Libra reminds us that relationships require participation, but participation isn't the same as continually adjusting ourselves to keep everything comfortable.

As the Moon grows toward Taurus, the question becomes more practical. What makes a relationship sustainable? What allows trust to deepen? Where do our commitments offer stability, and where have they become another demand on our limited resources?

You don't need to resolve every imbalance during this phase. Begin by noticing where your actions are creating the kind of connection you actually want to live within.

Living Rhythm

The Moon is growing toward fullness in Taurus, carrying forward the intentions planted beneath the Libra New Moon. What began as a quiet consideration of our relationships, agreements, and the balance between our needs and those of others now asks for our participation.

Libra invites us to consider how we relate. The Waxing Moon asks us to practice what we've learned.

Where are we making room for one another? Which agreements are supported by genuine reciprocity, and which depend on someone continually giving more than they receive? Are we building relationships that can accommodate our changing needs, or simply maintaining arrangements because they've become familiar?

As the Hunter's Moon grows, we move from Libra's questions of balance toward the Taurus Full Moon, where stability, security, and the things we value will come into focus. There is an important difference between keeping something together and creating the conditions in which it can thrive. What we choose to nurture now will help us recognize that difference.

Begin with the small, ordinary ways you participate in the life you're building.

This Phase Invites

Bring the intentions of the Libra New Moon into your everyday relationships, agreements, and commitments. Notice whether the choices you're making create genuine reciprocity or simply preserve familiar patterns. As the Moon grows toward fullness in Taurus, begin building the stability that allows connection to feel supportive rather than demanding.

Support Yourself By
  • Checking your capacity before making new commitments.

  • Asking directly for what would make an arrangement more workable.

  • Noticing whether you're acting from care or obligation.

  • Making one small change rather than redesigning an entire relationship.

  • Allowing mutual support to include receiving, not only giving.

This Phase Supports
  • Following through on an agreement that matters.

  • Making a relationship more reciprocal through small actions.

  • Revisiting a conversation that needs more honesty.

  • Establishing boundaries that protect your capacity.

  • Creating consistency without demanding perfection.

  • Recognizing where your efforts are genuinely shared.

Be Gentle With
  • The discomfort of changing a familiar relationship pattern.

  • Feeling uncertain when you begin asking for something different.

  • The time it takes to build trust through new habits.

  • Discovering that another person may not immediately understand your needs.

  • The vulnerability of allowing yourself to receive care.

Avoid This Phase
  • Agreeing to something simply to keep the peace.

  • Measuring a relationship only by how much you contribute.

  • Expecting one conversation to resolve a longstanding pattern.

  • Treating boundaries as evidence of disconnection.

  • Taking responsibility for another person's entire emotional response.

Reflection

Where am I building genuine reciprocity, and where am I simply maintaining an old arrangement?

Journal Prompt

Think of one relationship or commitment that matters to you.

What have you been contributing to it lately?

What have you been receiving?

Consider whether the balance feels workable, and what one small change might allow both people more room to participate honestly.

RECIPROCITY

I can nurture connection without abandoning my own ground.

The Waxing Hunter’s Moon invites us to turn the Libra New Moon’s intentions into lived experience, exploring how reciprocity, honesty, and shared responsibility shape our relationships. As the Moon grows toward fullness in Taurus, we begin to recognize that meaningful connection needs more than good intentions. It needs consistency, mutual care, and enough stability for everyone involved to remain themselves.

Meet Your Companion

Rose

A companion for tenderness, boundaries, and reciprocity

Rose is often associated with love, but its symbolism extends beyond affection. Its petals and thorns belong to the same plant, reminding us that openness does not require an absence of boundaries.

As the Hunter's Moon grows, work with rose as a companion for the ordinary practice of relating honestly. Let it remind you that care can be offered freely without becoming limitless, and that receiving support is part of reciprocity, too.

Supports

  • Emotional openness and tenderness

  • Healthy boundaries within relationships

  • Reciprocity and mutual care

  • Self-respect without defensiveness

  • Honest, compassionate communication

  • Receiving support as willingly as offering it

Carry This Forward

The relationships we value are not sustained by good intentions alone. They grow through ordinary acts of honesty, consideration, consistency, and care. As the Hunter's Moon approaches fullness, notice what your efforts are revealing about the kind of stability you need—and whether the life you're building has room for it.

Living in rhythm doesn't mean every day feels easy. It means learning to ask different things of yourself in different seasons.
