Suggested Moments

New Moon, Evening, Before Journaling

A gentle lunar blend of tulsi, lemon balm, and rose created to accompany New Moon reflection, intention-setting, and the quiet beginning of a new cycle.

The New Moon is often spoken of as a time for setting intentions, but before we choose where we are going, we are first invited to become still enough to hear what truly matters.

New Moon Tea was created to accompany that quiet beginning.

Tulsi offers steadiness and perspective. Lemon balm gently softens the noise of the day, while rose reminds us to let our intentions arise from compassion rather than pressure or perfection.

This is not a tea for making long lists of goals.

It is a tea for listening.

Sometimes the smallest seed becomes the most enduring garden.

For one cup:

  • 1 teaspoon dried tulsi (holy basil)

  • 1 teaspoon dried lemon balm

  • ½ teaspoon dried rose petals

  • 1 cup freshly boiled water

Optional:

  • Honey

Preparation

Place the herbs into a tea infuser, teapot, or heatproof mug.

Pour freshly boiled water over the herbs.

Cover while steeping for five to seven minutes.

Strain before drinking.

Prepare this tea before journaling, reflecting, or simply sitting quietly with the beginning of a new lunar cycle.

A Gentle Companion To...

external-file_edited_edited.png

New Moon Tea pairs beautifully with simple monthly rituals.

Light a candle.

Open your journal.

Sit beside an open window.

Walk through the garden before sunrise.

Or simply enjoy the tea in silence, allowing yourself to notice what feels ready to grow.

The ritual does not need to be elaborate.

The willingness to begin is enough.

Notes

Using What You Have

This blend is intentionally gentle and balanced, allowing each herb to contribute without overpowering the others.

A Gentle Reminder

Many people enjoy preparing this tea once each month, allowing it to become a familiar marker of the beginning of a new lunar cycle.

Carry This Forward

Every beginning asks for a measure of faith.

Not certainty.

Not confidence.

Simply the willingness to take one quiet step toward something that matters.

As you finish your tea, remember that growth rarely announces itself all at once.

More often, it begins beneath the surface, long before anyone else can see it.
