Suggested Moments
New Moon, Before a New Beginning, Life Transitions
A companion bath for honoring life's transitions with gentleness, reflection, and quiet intention.
Life is filled with thresholds.
Some arrive with celebration: a new home, a new season, a birthday, the beginning of meaningful work.
Others arrive quietly. A friendship changes. Children grow older. A diagnosis shifts the rhythm of daily life. A relationship ends. A long season of caregiving gives way to something unfamiliar.
We often move from one chapter to the next without ever pausing long enough to recognize that we have crossed a doorway.
This bath offers that pause.
Rose invites tenderness.
Rosemary brings clarity.
Lavender reminds the body that it is safe to soften, even when the future has not yet fully revealed itself.
You do not need to know exactly what comes next.
You only need to acknowledge that something has changed.
Makes
1 full bath
Ingredients
½ cup dried rose petals
1 tablespoon dried rosemary
1 tablespoon dried lavender
Warm bath water
You'll Need
Muslin bag or reusable herbal sachet
Preparation
Combine the herbs inside the muslin bag.
Place the sachet into the bath as warm water fills the tub, allowing the herbs to infuse naturally.
Before stepping into the water, pause for a moment.
Notice what you are leaving behind.
Notice what you are making space to welcome.
Soak for twenty to thirty minutes, allowing thoughts to come and go without needing to solve them.
When finished, step out slowly, carrying only what feels ready to come with you.
A Gentle Companion To...

This bath pairs beautifully with moving homes, beginning new work, completing meaningful projects, birthdays, anniversaries, retirement, grief, recovery, seasonal changes, or simply those moments when you sense life quietly rearranging itself.
Notes
Accessibility
This preparation can also become a hand bath or foot soak if a full bath isn't available. The intention travels with the ritual—it isn't dependent on the amount of water.
Using What You Have
If one herb isn't available, work with the others. Ritual grows from attention, not perfection.
Carry This Forward

Every life is shaped by countless quiet thresholds.
Not all of them announce themselves.
Some ask only that we stop long enough to notice we are no longer standing where we once were.
