Citrine
The Abundant Flame
Citrine is traditionally associated with abundance, confidence, and success, but its deeper medicine is vitality: the inner warmth that allows us to participate fully in our own lives. It speaks to the movement from having an idea or desire toward allowing ourselves to act upon it, express it, and eventually be seen within it. Citrine does not require constant positivity or endless energy. Instead, it asks us to recognize the places where genuine enthusiasm still exists and to give that energy somewhere meaningful to go. Its abundance is not simply about acquiring more; it is about becoming available to the richness of being fully engaged with what matters.

ENERGETIC SIGNATURE
Citrine carries an expansive, outward-moving quality. It belongs to the moment when something cultivated privately becomes ready for expression. Its confidence is not about certainty or performance; it comes from allowing desire, creativity, and personal agency to occupy legitimate space. Citrine reminds us that visibility can be an act of participation rather than proof of worth. We do not have to become brighter than we are. We can simply stop dimming what is already alive.
BODY RESONANCE
Citrine can accompany moments when energy wants to move outward: speaking, creating, deciding, participating, or allowing yourself to be noticed. Its warmth offers a symbolic counterpoint to contraction and hesitation. Rather than using it to push through exhaustion, Citrine is better approached as an invitation to notice authentic vitality. Where does the body naturally lean forward? What creates warmth, curiosity, or animation? Following those small signals can reveal where energy is available without demanding energy that simply is not there.
The Lore
Citrine is a yellow-to-orange variety of quartz whose color results from iron within its crystalline structure. Natural Citrine is relatively uncommon; much of the Citrine available commercially is heat-treated amethyst, which develops yellow, orange, or reddish tones when heated. The stone has been used ornamentally for centuries and became particularly fashionable in European jewelry during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Its golden coloration naturally encouraged associations with sunlight, warmth, prosperity, and abundance, while contemporary crystal traditions frequently connect it with confidence, manifestation, creativity, and personal power.
PREPARATION & USE
Place Citrine near a workspace, creative area, or somewhere associated with projects you are actively developing. Carry it when entering situations that require expression, decision-making, or visibility. Before beginning a task, hold it briefly and notice whether there is a part of the work that feels genuinely energizing. Begin there when possible. Citrine can also sit beside journals, plans, artwork, or other physical representations of something you are bringing into the world.
RITUALS & PREPARATIONS
Citrine naturally accompanies Waxing and Full Moon practices, creative work, abundance rituals, celebrations, visibility, and moments when intentions are moving into expression. During the Waxing Moon, it can represent momentum and the willingness to act. At the Full Moon, it can accompany recognition: seeing what has grown, acknowledging what has been accomplished, and allowing yourself to receive the experience rather than immediately moving toward the next thing.
