The Full Moon is a time to pause and notice what has become clearer since the beginning of the lunar cycle. This simple ritual offers space to reflect, celebrate progress, and gently adjust your path before the Moon begins to wane.
Honor what has come to light. Continue tending what matters.
The Full Moon is the brightest moment of the lunar cycle. With the entire face of the Moon illuminated, it has long been associated with clarity, awareness, and seeing what was previously hidden.
This is not a moment to judge yourself or measure your progress against impossible expectations. Instead, it is an invitation to pause and ask: What has become clearer since I first set my intention?
Some intentions will already be taking root. Others may have changed completely. Both are part of the process.
Purpose
To pause halfway through the lunar cycle, notice what has become clearer, and celebrate or adjust your intention with honesty and compassion.
When To Return To This Ritual
Return to this ritual on the Full Moon or within a day or two of it, especially if you have been working with a New Moon intention.
Gather
A candle
Your journal
The intention you wrote at the New Moon, if you have it
A pen
A warm drink, if you would like one
Fifteen to twenty quiet minutes
Natural Companions
If this resonates with you...
Clear Quartz: A companion for clarity and perspective when reflecting on your intention.
Moonstone: A reminder that growth continues throughout the entire lunar cycle.
Rose: A gentle companion when your reflections call for self-compassion or gratitude.
Calendula: A bright, encouraging ally that pairs beautifully with acknowledging progress and celebrating small victories.
Chamomile: A calming companion if difficult emotions surface or you need help softening self-judgment.
Choose what resonates with you. These companions are simply invitations, never requirements.
Prepare Your Space
Begin simply. Light a candle and gather your journal in a quiet place.
If you have a permanent altar, you may choose to place your journal or intention there for the ritual. Otherwise, any comfortable corner where you can sit without interruption is enough.
Before You Begin

Take a few slow breaths and settle into the moment.
If you wrote an intention at the New Moon, read it slowly before continuing. Notice what thoughts, feelings, or memories arise without trying to change them.
Step One
Reflect on the past two weeks.
Ask yourself:
What has become clearer?
What has surprised me?
What am I proud of?
What has asked more of me than I expected?
Write whatever comes to mind.
Step Two
Return to your New Moon intention.
Has it grown in the way you expected?
Does it still feel true?
Has life shown you another direction?
Allow yourself to revise your intention if needed. Changing course is not failure—it is part of paying attention.
Step Three
Take a moment to celebrate what has gone well.
This does not have to be a major accomplishment.
Perhaps you rested when you needed rest.
Perhaps you asked for help.
Perhaps you simply noticed yourself responding differently than you would have a month ago.
Small changes are still worth acknowledging.
Step Four
If there is something that no longer supports your intention, write it down.
You do not need to release it tonight—that is the work of the Waning Moon—but simply recognizing it is often enough.
Sometimes clarity comes before action.
Step Five
Read your intention one more time.
If it still feels right, place it back in your journal and continue carrying it through the remainder of the lunar cycle. If you have revised it, replace the old version with the new one.
As the Moon begins to wane over the coming days, return to your intention occasionally and notice what continues to support it and what does not. The Waning Moon offers an opportunity to gently let go of habits, thoughts, or expectations that are no longer helping the seed you planted to grow.
Take one final breath, blow out the candle, and let the ritual end quietly.
Reflection
The Full Moon reminds us that clarity is not always comfortable, but it is almost always useful.
Sometimes its light falls on our progress. Sometimes it reveals what needs changing. Often it does both at the same time.
The invitation is not to become perfect, but to become more honest with yourself.
Journal Prompt
What has this lunar cycle revealed that I couldn't see when it first began?
Closing Blessing

May you receive what has been illuminated with kindness. May you celebrate what is growing, trust what is changing, and carry your intention forward with greater clarity than before.
